There are endless daytrips within a short drive from Clearview Cottages to help you enjoy
your vacation to it's fullest! We will provide you with all the information and contacts you
need to make your vacation a dream vacation at any time of year!
Kayaking and Canoeing
After trying your hand with one of our canoes or kayaks on Clear Lake, you can head out
for a day of fun! Take some kayak lessons and learn the basics...or learn to eskimo roll!

Enjoy a full daytrip on Magnetawan River. Learn the basics, and then tour the river with
swimming and lunch along the way. Prices vary, and we can provide you with the contacts
you need. Trips are variable according to your skill level from beginner to expert!

Rent your own equipment, and go solo in Algonquin Park!
Cruises and Trainrides
Cruise the 30,000 Islands from Parry Sound.

Ride the Timber Train from Mattawa.

Enjoy an hour or a day aboard the R.M.S. Segwun in Gravenhurst . A variety of cruising options are available for fun
family outings or romantic evenings. Enjoy a meal at an intimate table in the Royal Muskoka Salon.

Take a pleasurable sightseeing tour aboard the Muskoka Princess! See the lakes of Huntsville, departing from the
town docks.
Hiking and Biking
The area trails are so numerous...we couldn't begin to list them all! We can help point you in
the right direction for your needs on foot or on wheels. Rent a bike , or hike a nature trail in
Algonquin Park or  the scenic country roads surrounding Clear Lake! We can set you up with
a local bike rental contact!
Muskoka Heritage Place Steam Train and Pioneer Village
Located in nearby Huntsville, you can enjoy 2 museums, 18 historic buildings, nature trails and a working steam
railway. Ride beside the river on the fully restored train! At heritage place, history comes alive with baking, blacksmiths
and meet the farm animals.
Star Gazing!
Take a trip to the Echo Valley Observatory on one of the hightest points in Muskoka just east of Huntsville. Enjoy a
state of the art telescopic view of the stars, or look through the Helios 1 Solar Telescope to see the surface of the sun
during the day! Open year round.
Golf Muskoka
Huntsville Downs- 18 holes set in magnificent Muskoka scenery. Driving Range, daily green fees.
A par 72, 6270 yard course architecturally designed to excite and challenge the most discerning
golfer. Slope rating 129- Blue tees. One of the oldest and friendliest courses in Muskoka.

Grandview Resort- 18 holes framed by giand forests of pine, white birch and hemlock. Deep
bunkers and granite outcroppings provide definition and challenge. Total yardage 6985, par 71. A
Clublink course.

Deerhurst Resort- One of Canada's premier golf courses! Features two challenging courses:
Lakeside and The Highlands. Luxury at it's best!
Worth the drive: Santa's Village!
In less than an hour you'll be at Santa's Village, Bracebridge. Open June- Labour Day, this is a
classic Muskoka outing the kids will remember for a lifetime!
A passion for Art!
If art or photography is your passion, we have some suggestions for you. In July and August, satisfy your urge to
sketch the great outdoors the way the famous Group of Seven did with one of two brief Academy programs in
Algonquin Park.

Visit the Algonquin Gallery and Museum, recognized as Canada's premier wilderness and wildlife art exhibit. Animal
Art in the Park and The Group of Seven's Lawren Harris are featured. The gallery shows over 40 artists of International
acclaim.
Horseback Riding
Just a short drive away, take the family for an afternoon horseback trailride!

The activities don't stop in the winter! Try a little dogsledding...or perhaps a
morning cross country ski at one of the many nearby trails, parks and nordic
resorts. Take the family to try your hand at snowboarding...or just ride the hill
on the tubing run. Rent a snowmobile (or bring your own) and head out onto
hundreds of miles of the best groomed trails in Canada right from your
doorstep! Bundle up for one of the many winter activities, and then head back
to the cottage to warm up with some hot chocolate!
